At least 8500 youth of Punjab to get employment in upcoming International Job Fair

Chandigarh, July 14: Taking a massive step to provide employment to the youth of the state, the Punjab government is all set to organize ‘International Job Fair’ in Mohali. At least 8500 youth of the state are expected to gain employment through the first of its kind ‘International Job Fair’ in the country.

 

The ‘International Job Fair’ would be organized at Government College, Phase-6, Mohali on 30th July this year. Minister Captain Amarinder Singh will inaugurate the mega event and also hand over appointment letters to the selected students.

Punjab Technical Education and Employment Generation Minister Charanjit Singh Channi said to media that earlier there was an offer of about 5 thousand international jobs from various countries but now the number has gone upto 8500 and this number is likely to increase in the coming days.

He further stated that representative from 6-7 countries would be participating in the job fair to provide jobs to the Youth of the state. The Employment Generation Minister also added that the online registration of job aspirants would start within few days on the Punjab Government portal.

Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, on this occasion, while talking to media appealed that the job seekers should carefully submit all their details on the portal to be eligible for the interview.
