‘Future Managers’ of Oriental College organize a day-long event COGNITE; ends on highly success note

Navi Mumbai, September 17: Cognite- a day-long event was organized by management students of Oriental College of Science and Commerce (Sanpada, Navi Mumbai) with the idea to impart practical experience in the form of events and competition of management concepts that they learn theoretically in their curriculum.

 

The “Cognite” event which was held on 10th September this year was inaugurated by the guest of honour P. Ramaswamy- founder and Technical Director of Hi5 Youth Foundation. Another guest of honour for the day was Balpreet Singh, a Vice President of Reliance Industries Ltd.

During his inspirational address to the management students of Oriental College, P. Ramaswamy motivated the students how to be career oriented and be focused, constantly striving towards their goal for success. While Balpreet Singh, the other guest for the day also addressed the students and gave them the keywords of achievement and hard work for success.

The one-day event began with the PowerPoint presentation competition where each group performed to their best. The topics like Bitcoin and Entrepreneurship took the audience attention and were thus declared the winners. The competition was judged by P. Ramaswamy and Professor Ivy Ganguly.

Thereafter students participated in ad - mad show which projected their talent for promoting and building a brand. The competition was judged by Professor Harjeet Bhatti and the guest of honour P. Ramaswamy.

While the treasure hunt was organized by Professor Musak and was judged by Professor Vidula which helped in enhancing the spirit of teamwork and is an important managerial quality which the students should possess.


 

To add flavour, glamour and entertainment to a one-day mega event, the beautiful ladies and handsome hunks of the department presented a Corporate Fashion Show and participated in Corporate Rapid fire round. The competition was judged by the guest of honour Balpreet Singh and other college faculties including Professor Bhupinder, Professor HarjeetBhatti, Professor Sakti (OIM) and Professor Dr. Roselin.

Also, the ambience and artwork directed by student representatives ArishaUsmani and AkshayChaudharystole the attention of the crowd. The beautiful posters, sketches and quotes which were aptly displayed in the seminar hall were also a part of major attractions in “Cognite”.

Professor Rao Saheb, honourable principal of Oriental College appreciated the efforts students in making “Cognite” highly successful and also lauded the hard work and enthusiasm to put up a grand show. He added that the event was possible only because of the support and guidance of President Professor Javed Khan (Former Education Minister). On the other side, the vice principal Professor Sheela declared the event open.

Professor Mustak Deriya, the HOD of the department, the backbone and also a mentor to guide the future managers extended the vote of thanks.
