Chennai, Jan 11: Taking exceptions to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement on a poll alliance, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK ) National President MK Stalin said that his party will not have any kind of understanding with BJP.

Speaking to the media, taking a pot-shot at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Stalin said, “ Modi is not Vajpayee and hence the question of healthy alliance does not arise ”.

In 1999, under the leadership of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, DMK was a part of the BJP led National democratic alliance.  Prime Minister Modi in his recent video interaction with the booth level workers of BJP Tamil Nadu unit said that BJP is open for old friends.
