Japan, floods in Tokyo! Typhoon Hagibis in Japan force 50 to breath last ;India's INS Sahyadri, INS Kiltan move for aid

Tokyo, October 14: Making landfalls in the south of Japan's Tokyo, Typhoon Hagibis on Saturday and Sunday created a havoc abide, forcing more than 50 to breath last and 26 to go missing. With this the Indian Navy has pressed two of its ships, INS Sahyadri and INS Kiltan into service to provide assistance to typhoon battered Japan.

 
While more than 110,000 rescuers are searching for survivors in Japan in the wake of super-typhoon, the storm, which over the weekend dumped 40 per cent of average annual rainfall on some areas, caused at least 25 rivers across the country to burst their banks where 200 are confirmed injured.
Condoling the loss of life caused by Hagibis Typhoon in Japan and praying for early recovery of the injures, PM Modi said, "I offer condolences on behalf of all Indians on the loss of life caused by super-typhoon Hagibis in Japan. I wish early recovery from the damage and devastation caused by this natural calamity".
"I am sure that the preparedness and resilience of the Japanese people and the leadership of my friend Shinzo Abe would be able to address the aftermath effectively and quickly", he added expressing confidence in Japanese regime. "Japan’s preparedness against natural disasters is well appreciated. India stands in solidarity with Japan at this difficult hour. Personnel of the Indian Navy, in Japan on a scheduled visit, will be happy to assist immediately”.
 
Tens of thousands of homes are still without electricity, while thousands more have lost running water. Citing the Monday mornings, rain is still falling across many of the affected areas, bringing the danger of more flooding and landslides.
