Former Hindu Mahasabha President Kamlesh Tiwari shot dead in Lucknow; Suppressing truth?

Lucknow, October 18: In a shocking incident where truth was supressed by misleading deeds, former Hindu Mahasabha leader Kamlesh Tiwari has been shot dead by unidentified assailants in a broad daylight in Lucknow on Friday. He was rushed to Trauma Centre where Tiwari succumbed to injuries.

 

Kamlesh Tiwari had served as the president of the right-wing group. According to initial media reports, the attackers barged into Tiwari’s office on the pretext of handing over a gift. The attackers, walked into Tiwari's office in Khurshid Bagh area on the pretext of handing over a box of sweets. Soon after walking in, the assailants opened the box, took out the firearm, sprayed Tiwari with bullets and fled. A preliminary investigation has been launched and the hunt to nab the accused is underway, they added.

The Hindu Mahasabha is a right-wing Hindu nationalist political party in India, formed to protect the rights of the Hindu community. The Hindu Mahasabha has also played a pivotal role in Ayodhya case. Kamlesh Tiwari, a former Hindu Mahasabha leader, had formed the Hindu Samaj Party in January 2017. Tiwari had earlier served as the president of the Hindu Mahasabha.
