Bhopal, Oct 21: Making a fervent appeal to the youth to connect with the glorious culture and traditions of Bharat to ensure resurgence of ‘Vishwaguru’ Bharat, young and dynamic Member of Parliament from Karnataka Tejaswi Surya underlined the salient features of five thousand year old Hindu culture before the youth gathered at the inauguration of the two-day National Hindu Youth Conference.
He appealed to the youth to connect with past culture for reinventing education, politics, economy and media to make Bharat world leader.
The National Hindu Youth Conference was organised at LNT College Auditorium. Besides MP Tejaswi Surya, young entrepreneur Vrinda Kotak, Start Up Mentor Liza Bhansali, VHP youth spokesman Shrim Sharma and ABVP General Secretary Ashisj Chauhan addressed the conference.
In his address Tejaswi Surya urged the audience to imagine about the age-old traditions of the Bharat vis-à-vis innovations, nature conservation and thought processes. He said that we as a nation are alive only because of those traditions and civilization and therefore, it becomes all the more important to revive them and enrich them. He said that in nowhere in the world one can find such an inclusive civilization and culture except for Bharat.
To justify his observation he gave the name of Sri Rama which is in vogue since times immemorial till today endorsing the continuance of that great tradition and culture. This is the proof that our traditions are still alive, he added.
It is necessary to cast the influence of that great tradition on our economy, healthcare, innovations, entrepreneurship etc. and this is the only way to move towards excellence, Surya said. There was a period when we contributed 25% to the global economy. Today is the time to rekindle that spirit, he said.
We should carry forward the idea of economy of our ancestors. This is our great honour that the image of Surgeon Sushrut is installed in an Australian University and this honour is just for the Bharatiya worldview, he added.
Earlier, young entrepreneur Ankit Garg said that the idea of this congregation was to understand the idea of Bharat. We can move ahead on way to economic progress with the thought of social harmony. He said Bharat can become ‘Vishwaguru’ on the basis of its old treasure of all-inclusive thoughts.
VHP Spokesman Shrim Sharma pointed to increasing religious conversions in our country. He alleged that Christian missionaries have been engaged in converting people to their religion. They tried to eclipse our culture by introducing the European education system in the 17th century. Today, conversions are going on with great speed. Simple, poor and innocent rural, tribal and backward folks are lured into the trap and converted to Christianity. We need to oppose such fraudulent conversions, he appealed. He also appealed to the youth not to feel ashamed or inferior of our culture and traditions because this culture alone will be the focus of resurgence.
