New Delhi, November 13: Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr. Harsh Vardhan inaugurated an exhibition of Technologies in Food Processing developed by Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) in New Delhi today.
The exhibition organized in New Delhi showcases CSIR technologies in food sector to the industries and MSMEs. It also highlights the latest research and development being done in the food processing sector in the country. The exhibition offers plenty of networking opportunities for interaction amongst leading scientists & industry representatives so that these can be scaled up if necessary.
While speaking on the occasion, Dr. Harsh Vardhan urged industries to adopt CSIR technologies developed for food processing sector. He said products developed through these technologies and innovations are cost-effective and healthier for people.
The exhibition is showcasing wonderful 100 technologies, products and processes developed under 4 major broad areas ranging from tech to reduce postharvest losses to value-added food products to food processing machinery and equipment.
