Lijian Zhao, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, China backs LHC's decision to remove Nawaz Sharif's name from Exit Control List

New Delhi, November 18: The World politics is well aware of the fact that China, the long term ally of Pakistan, keeps on supporting it in 'come what may' situations. But the global significant question raised earlier during Article 370 matter still remains unanswered! How far is China blindly slated to support Pakistan's position?

Interfering in it's ally's internal matter this time, China on Monday moved up lauding the decision by the Lahore High Court to remove the name of former Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif unconditionally from Exit Control List for four weeks for his medical treatment abroad.

The Exit Control Lists is a system of border control maintained by the Government of Pakistan under Exit from Pakistan Ordinance, 1981. Those persons on the list are prohibited from leaving Pakistan. It empowers the Federal Government to prohibit any person from proceeding abroad.

"This decision by the Lahore High Court is a decision in need, thus a good decision indeed", tweeted Lijian Zhao, Deputy Director General, Information Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, China, thus supporting one of the major corrupt Pakistani politician.

A two-member bench of LHC headed by Justice Ali Baqar Najafi gave the verdict after hearing the petition on the matter. The court also rejected the condition of indemnity bond to be submitted by Nawaz Sharif. PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif had filed a petition in the LHC seeking removal of Nawaz's name from the no-fly list. The petition also asked that the court declare the condition for indemnity bonds as illegal.

Sharif will leave for London on Tuesday by an air ambulance for treatment. No Pakistani politician has been as unfortunate as him, for he was removed from the post of prime minister thrice, disqualified from holding public office twice, forced into exile for nearly a decade and sentenced to various lengths of imprisonment, including once for life.

Meanwhile, the Panama Papers case, officially titled Imran Ahmed Khan Niazi v. Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, or the Panamagate case, was a landmark decision by the Supreme Court of Pakistan that disqualified incumbent Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif from holding public office for life.
