Stepping towards 'New India', 'Better Tomorrow', PM Modi states need of the hour to work over core areas of Governance

Pune, December 07: "There are many decisions, a legacy of the past, but for New India, they cannot be avoided for better tomorrow", said PM Narendra Modi while attending the three-day, all-India conference of Directors’ General of Police (DGP) and Inspectors’ General of Police (IGP) conference in Maharashtra's Pune today.
 
"For the better future of the country, the need of the hour today is that the government should work on Core Areas of Governance. The less the government intervenes in people's lives, and the greater the good governance, the faster the country will move forward", he added.

"This is the World Class Infrastructure in India. To fulfill this dream in the coming few years, the government is going to start projects worth 100 lakh crores", he affirmed. The theme of the conference this year is scientific and forensics-based investigation as well as technology-enabled policing. National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval, along with the heads of central investigative and intelligence agencies and paramilitary forces, are also attending the conference.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray yesterday received PM Narendra Modi at the Pune airport. It was the two leaders' first meeting after Uddhav Thackeray broke away from ally BJP and formed a Shiv Sena led government in the state with the support of the Congress and NCP last month. MHA Amit Shah, Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari and BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis also greeted Modi at the airport.
 
While the conference is being held at the Indian Institute of Science, Education and Research at Baner and the Centre for Police Research in Pashan area of the city, MHA Amit Shah attended the first day of the three-day National Conference of Directors General and Inspectors General of Police in Pune on Friday evening.
