Uttarakhand hikes allowances of Home Guards in the state

Dehradun, December 7: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has announced increase in the nutritious dietary allowance of home guards by Rs 150 monthly. At the same time, it has been announced to increase the uniform washing allowance of paid workers by Rs 50 per month. He was addressing a program organized on the Foundation Day of Home Guards and Civil Defense Organization on Friday. Before this, he also took the salute of the ritual parade. There were five armed men and one female armed female platoon in the parade.

During the ceremonial parade held at Home Guards and Civil Defense Headquarters at Nannur Kheda Tapovan Road Raipur on Friday, the Chief Minister gave three lakhs to Rajindra Kaur, wife of the unpaid company commander Puran Singh on duty and one lakh to Seva Home Guard Tila. During this time, the Home Guards Department's souvenir was also released. Apart from this, under the employment year, Neeraj and Pankaj (Tehri) were given appointment letters for the post of Home Guards Volunteers.

Also, The Chief Minister today launched a project that will connect 500 secondary schools to virtual classrooms and said schools in the state that face a shortage of teachers will benefit from the new technology.

Virtual classes are attended through video conferences where students can interact with the teacher on a real-time basis and ask questions online. An estimated 1.90 lakh students of 500 government-run secondary schools in the state are expected to benefit from the project, as mentioned in an official release.
