My father and sisters took care of me, my father sacrificed a lot for me,” Garg reveals.

Priyam’s father did most of the hard work, he did all the odd jobs that one can imagine - selling milk, driving school vans, loading goods, etc. He ensured that Priyam got a good life. He went through all that just to see him become a cricketer one day. He took him to Meerut and made sure that he got into a decent academy.

"My father didn't have enough money to take care of a big family and support my cricket. But seeing my love and dedication for the sport, he borrowed money from his friend, bought me cricket kits and arranged for my coaching. Due to my father's hard work today I'm captain of the under-19 team," - Priyam Garg

"I along with Priyam used to pedal to the academy in the morning. It's around 25km from my village. Priyam got admission in a school in Meerut. After school and evening session at the academy, I used to bring him back."
