Maharashtra opens up the budget bags for farmers, women, start ups and more..!

Mumbai, February 27: The budget should be balanced not by more taxes but by reduction of follies.. And ahead of state development, the Maharashtra state today presented the Maha Interim Budget2019 at Vidhan Bhavan, Mumbai with FM Sudhir Mungantiwar declaring a set of amounts for variety of projects and schedules underway or projected in the state in near future.

A provision of Rs. 325 crores for the government’s guarantee to raise the stake to Mahatma Phule Backward Development Corporation, Maharashtra State Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation, Sahitya Ratna Lokshahar Annabhau Sathe Development Corporation, Sant Rohidas Tarmohog and Charmakar Vikas Mahamandal.
Meanwhile, the state also visions to convert anganwadi centers into an ideal anganwadi center and set up new Tejaswini Yojana for women entrepreneurs in rural areas. “The state is committed to pay Rs 2,921 crore for various welfare schemes for women and child development. Also the Annasaheb Patil Financial Development Corporation's shareholding will increase by 400 crores”, said the Finance Minister while addressing the house.
Adding to the session further the state has approved provision of Rs. 2, 892 crores for various schemes for welfare of OBC, Vimukta Jatis, Nomadic Tribes and Special Backward Classes. Meanwile Rs 465 crores have been allotted for various schemes implemented for the welfare of the minorities in the state.
Declaring the provisions abide the Interim Budget, Mungantiwar paved way for a lot of developmental projects backing the required state financial support in presence of CM Devendra Fadnavis and other Ministers. Here are the highlights of the Maha session budget 2019 for the state:
Provision of Rs 9, 208 crores for the scheduled caste projections for the overall development of disadvantaged groups of the society.
For the Environment Department for polluted river and pond culture in the state and other matters, state approves the provision of 240 crores and the same for the National Rural Health Mission being Rs 298 crores.
Provision of Rs.197 crore for providing nutrition to children, pregnant and lactating mothers under Integrated Child Development Scheme.
A provision of Rs. 2, 4, 400 crores for 8 cities for the cities of Pune, Solapur, Kalyan-Dombivli, Nagpur, Nashik, Thane, Aurangabad and Pimpri-Chinchwad.
Make in Maharashtra, Magnetic Maharashtra, Make In India, FDI in Maharashtra are allotted Rs. 3,36,000 crores.
Investment of Rs 18, 300 crores for 18 projects under electronic policy where 12 thousand jobs will be created.
A provision of Rs 500 crores for the assistance of agriculture and agri-business in the rural development co-operative societies and Rs 8, 500 crores fund for road development in the state.
A provision of Rs. 90 crores for empowerment under Pramod Mahajan Kaushalya and Vikas Abhiyan.

Stressing at the farmers distress and towards resolving their issues, distribution of Rs. 3366 crores to farmers affected by Bond lane is approved along with the expenditure of Rs. 449 crores for water supply scheme. Maharashtra has been ranked number one for this year. An amount of Rs. 3498 crores has been proposed for farmers for farm produce. The government has decided to stand on the back of farmers due to reduced rainfall.
Maharashtra had 25 percent share in the total employment opportunities in the country.Various schemes are being implemented for employment generation and the same have been started to provide self employment opportunities. Boosting up, the state has decided to fund the new start-up.
