India retaliates as Pakistan continues ceasefire violation along LoC in Rajouri

Rajouri, March 18: Despite warnings and issuing notices, Pakistan Army has no respect for military standards. Continuing the ceasefire violation for the second consecutive day along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district on Monday, an army soldier was martyred while three others were injured.

 

In the incident, Rifleman Karamjeet Singh was critically injured and later succumbed to his injuries. Rifleman Karamjeet Singh, aged 24 years, belonged to Village Janer, Tehsil Dharam Kot, and District Moga and is survived by his parents. Rifleman Karamjeet Singh was a brave and sincere soldier.

The nation will always remain indebted to him for the supreme sacrifice and devotion to duty. The incident occurred in Keri Battal forward area in Sunderbani sector.

Around 5.30 am, the Pakistani Army initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by resorting to shelling mortars bombs and firing of small arms along the LoC in Sunderbani Sector of Rajouri district Monday. The ceasefire violation in Jammu and Kashmir came after Pakistan violated ceasefire on Sunday evening.
