This two-day conclave kicked off on 18th March, with the aim of understanding the importance and influence of new age platforms. The motto of the conclave is to provide a platform for state-of-the-art technological innovations in TV broadcasting sector.
Today, the sessions are going to dedicate to ‘understand challenges and new ways in the public service news broadcasting”.
On the inauguration of this conclave, Mr. Surya Prakash said, the information revolution and the new age revolution brought out an archetype shift in broadcasting. In the age of convergence, “the content can come from any platforms”.
Prasarbharati stated The annual growth rate of television viewers is 13.4 % which is higher than GDP.
Chairman Surya Prakash expressed, the need is to explore broadcasting policy as the new age platforms gaining popularity in the country.
On the occasion of this conclave, the Awards presented for 'Best Technical Papers'.
Mr. Khare said, "Prasar Bharati also faces a challenge to improve access and optimum utilization of spectrum".
