New Delhi, April 18: Things are not on the right track for West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. From dwelling on releasing the biopic made on Mamata Didi to using Bangladeshi actors to woo the voters, everything turned out to be a flop show.

After the Ministry of Home Affairs slapped ‘Leave India’ notice on Bangladeshi actor Ferdous Ahmed, another actor from Bangladesh Ghazi Abdul Noor who had attended a political rally in West Bengal has been asked to leave India immediately. Noor is the second Bangladeshi actor, after Ferdous Ahmed, to be served a 'Leave India' notice.

It has been noted that Ghazi Abdul Noor was staying in India despite expiry of his visa. The Home Ministry officials stated that appropriate action will also be taken regarding his overstay in contravention of visa rules. It has been learnt that the Bangladeshi actor Ghazi Abdul Noor allegedly campaigned for TMC's Dumdum candidate Saugata Roy.

Dragging in Bangladeshi actors in poll campaigns has just signified Mamata Banerjee’s double face. Having a positive inclination towards Muslims, Mamata Banerjee roped in Bangladeshi actors in her substandard campaign strategy. After asking the actors to leave the country, the Trinamool Congress chief has remained mum on the issue.

The Centre on Tuesday had issued a 'Leave India' notice to Ahmed and cancelled the business visa given to him for allegedly campaigning for a political party. Ahmed had attended a rally in support of the Trinamool Congress candidate in Raiganj in West Bengal.

The Home Ministry action came after it received a report from the Bureau of Immigration regarding visa violations committed by the Bangladesh actor.

However, Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen also expressed his views on the issue stating that the incident is quite embarrassing and regrettable.
