Hyderabad, Apr 20: India is making significant progress in the R&D sector. India is also engaging with foreign partners for research activities. Taking another major step towards the building of infrastructure for R&D ecosystem, a Centre of Excellence for unmanned aerial solutions will be set up at the Indian Institute of Technology in Hyderabad (IIT-H).
To initiate this project, the basic enterprise was signed between IIT-H and Japan-based ‘Terra Drone Corporation’ and its Indian party, Terra Drone India. Terra Corporation is known as one of the world’s largest suppliers of industrial drone solutions.
As IIT-H is the first academic institution to offer professional courses in artificial intelligence and related technologies, the campus was selected for the Centre of Excellence. The alliance will facilitate collaborative teaching, training and research activities for the young aspiring minds.
Series of seminars, lectures, workshops in the same regard are supposed to take place in the coming days to support cutting edge technologies and drone LiDAR systems. Terra Drone India will also offer internship programmes for IIT-H students.
