New Delhi, April 20: “In terms of national leadership contest for a Prime Ministerial election, it is almost becoming a one man race with momentum being clearly with BJP & PM Narendra Modi. There is nobody else measuring up to Prime Minister Modi’s level of capacity and acceptability”, said FM Arun Jaitley on Tuesday sarcastically slamming the oppositions abide the Lok Sabha elections underway.

“The first two rounds of the voting for the 2019 General Elections are over. The early trends & initial lessons reveal that the BJP/ NDA campaign is focussed. Leadership of Narendra Modi is overwhelmingly accepted by people & there appears a strong groundswell in his favour”, he added in his blog series over the social media.

Stressing at the opposition party and their campaigning strategy, Jaitlay said that the opposition parties were running, to utter dislike of voters, a negative campaign to remove one man Narendra Modi, whose acceptability with the people was at 70%. “The key campaign thrust of Congress has cracked up. The Country doesn’t trust them to give long-lasting coalition”, he added.

After two visible phases of elections, he further said that the major point of noting is that for a large part of electorate as Prime Minister Modi appears to be the obvious choice. “This is particularly true in the case of voters below 35 years of age. My vote is for Modi is the general trend from the ground”, he added.

“Aspirational India of today wants development in a great country and not caste & dynastic politics”, he claimed raising a politically significant question about Congress party’s dynasty in 2019 Lok Sabah elections.
