Wanted fugitive Farooq Devdiwala comes under radar, NIA files charge-sheet under unlawful activities

New Delhi, April 27: The major crackdown on terror funding unfolded hidden secrets of terrorism and illegal unlawful activities carried out in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. In a latest, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a supplementary charge-sheet against wanted fugitive Farooq Devdiwala. Farooq Devdiwala who allegedly with agents of Pakistan’s Inter-Services-Intelligence (ISI), conspired a terrorist attack on VIPs and crowded places.

NIA Special Court filed the supplementary charge-sheet under section 18, 18 A, 18B and 20 of Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA). Apart from that, it also charged him under section 471 of Indian Penal Code (IPC).

It has been noted that Devdiwala is originally from Mumbai and has been recruiting youth from India, sending them for training in a terrorist camp at Pakistan via Sharjah. He hatched the conspiracy along with the ISI agent Qayam. The other two accused are absconding.

The case against them was registered on May 11, 2018. The NIA took up the investigation from Mumbai Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) on August 2 last year. Faisal Mirza and Allarakha Mansoori were arrested by the NIA last year in connection to the case.
