Excellent Game! India Women Hockey Team Ensures Series Victory Against South Korea

Jincheon, May 24: Beating hosts South Korea in the second consecutive match, Indian Women’s team has reached a milestone by ensuring the victory in the Three-Match Hockey tournament.


In the second match played on Wednessday, India beat hosts South Korea by identical margin of 2-1 as it was in the opening match. After the game began, Lee Seungju gave South Korea the lead in the 19th minute through the field strike. However, skipper Rani Rampal in the 37th minute hit the goal and brought India equal to Korea. In the 50th minute, outstanding Indian player Navjot Kaur hit the winning goal in the 50th minute.

India will take on Korea in the inconsequential last match of the series today.
