New Delhi, June 20: Gearing up for the upcoming International Yoga Day, Indian Navy has shown its whole enthusiasm by performing Yoga on INS Ranvir. The crew of INS Ranvir performed Yoga to keep themselves physically fit & mentally alert. With this, the crew gave the message, “Yoga is a part of our fitness routine onboard and is a way of life.”
Indian Navy has shared amazing pictures of crew members performing Yoga onboard. In the pictures, crew members can be seen performing Yoga with enthusiasm.
Also, renowned yoga guru Jaggi Vasudev (popularly known as Sadhguru) will be participating in Yoga day celebration in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. And Sadhguru will be leading a yoga session at a unique venue—a floating dock of the Indian Navy.
Providing details about the event, the Indian Navy said yoga sessions would be held in “various clusters on June 20 and 21 at Birchgunj, Minnie Bay and INS Utkrosh.” For the yoga day celebrations, the Andaman and Nicobar Command is tying up with the Isha Foundation of Sadhguru.
Sadhguru will be leading the yoga session on board the Indian Navy's FDN-2 floating dock. Vice Admiral Bimal Verma, head of the Andaman and Nicobar Command, as well as up to 800 personnel of the Army, Navy and Air Force, are expected to participate in the event.
