Incessant rains in Nepal force 28 to breath last while 16 go misplaced

Kathmandu, July 13: Leaving settlements at high risk and further disrupting the transportation on all major highways in Nepal, the floods within, following the heavy rains have forced at least 28 to breath last, while 16 persons are missing.

 
 
Heavy rains since past two days in several parts of Nepal, especially in the country's eastern region and the southern plains have resulted in crashing down of homes, further ruining the normal life styles of masses.
 
Meanwhile, Home Ministry official Umakanta Adhikari on Saturday said that the local authorities and security officials were all working to rescue people and bring them to safety. “Helicopters are on standby if needed”, he added.
 
“It is estimated that around 6,000 people have been badly affected by floodwaters that inundated their houses. People are obliged to stay in community buildings to save their life”, he added.
