New Delhi, Jul. 17: Cabinet is taking many decisions for more open and inclusive development. In this month, this is the 2nd time, Cabinet opened a sack of new decisions which will benefit national as well as regional growth and development.
 
 
 
 
Here are all cabinet decisions declared by Union Minister Prakash Jawadekar and Union Minister Piyush Goyal today-
  • Enhancing Infrastructure in Arunachal Pradesh, CCEA approves 2880 MW Dibang Multipurpose Project at the cost of Rs. 1600 crore. At 278 meters, this will be the HIGHEST DAM in India once completed.
  • National Dam Safety Authority to regulate more than 5,600 dams; Cabinet approves a proposal for enactment of the Dam Safety Bill, 2019.
  • Major reforms in Medical Education Sector, Cabinet approves setting up of a National Medical Commission. The Common final year MBBS exam to be known as National Exit Test (NEXT) would serve as licentiate exam for entrance to PG medical courses and as a screening test for foreign medical graduates.
  • Cabinet approves Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (Amendment) Bill, 2019.
  • Cabinet approves The Companies (Amendment) Bill, 2019 to replace the Companies (Amendment) Second Ordinance, 2019.
  • Cabinet approves the extension of the term of the Fifteenth Finance Commission up to 30th November 2019; approves Amendment in the Terms of Reference for the 15th Finance Commission to address concerns regarding funds for defense and internal security.
  • Cabinet approves repealing of 58 obsolete laws and introduction of the Repealing and Amending Bill, 2019 in Parliament.
  • Cabinet approves Amendment to National Institute of Design Act, 2014. NID (Amendment) Bill, 2019 to be introduced in Parliament.
  • Boost to Rail Connectivity in UttarPradesh, CCEA approves construction of 81.17 Km new railway line between Sahjanwa and Dohrighat at cost of Rs. 1319.75 crore; project to be completed by 2023-24.
  • CCEA approves the construction of 150 km long 3rd railway line between Allahabad and Mughalsarai at cost of Rs. 2649.44 crore; project to be completed by 2023-24.
  • Cabinet approves doubling of “New Bongaigaon - Agthori via Rangiya” railway line (142.97 km); Line to go through New Bongaigaon, Baksa, Barpeta, Nalbari, and Kamrup districts.
