Bihar: 3 Naxals killed in encounter in Aurangabad district

Patna, July 26: In Bihar, three Naxals were killed in an encounter with security forces in Aurangabad district of the state on Thursday. The encounter took place in Satnadia forest area under Deo police station of the district when security forces were conducting a search operation.


 

Additional Superintendent of Police Rajesh Kumar Singh said there were five hundred rounds of firing during the encounter.

Arms and ammunition including one AK 47 rifles and several cartridges were recovered from the encounter site.

On Wednesday, Jharkhand Police arrested three Naxalites from the Balumath area of ​​Latehar. The three have been identified as Mahabir Ganjhu, Ranjeet Ganju (Balumath) and Prabhu Ganjhu Herhang. 38 thousand cash of levy, 1548 bullets of AK 47, 25 HE grenades and papers were recovered from them.

SP Prashant Anand said that the fort of Naxalite Paramjeet came to recover levy in the Titiramahua jungle. On information, the police raided and leased the levy money to the three.

The SP said that the recovered gold grenade recovered from the Maoists was made of Belgium. It only happens with the CRPF. In this case, the police is now investigating how the grenade has reached the Naxalites. The SP said that it will be recommended to reward those involved in the campaign.

Three Naxalites have been killed and arms and ammunition seized in an encounter with security forces in Lohardaga district, officials said. They said the encounter broke out around 2:45 pm when a joint team of 158th and 214th battalions of CRPF and state police were out for operations in Bahegara village of Bagru area in the district.

Bodies of three Maoists, 2 AK-47 rifles and some ammunition were recovered by the security forces. The Lohardaga district headquarters is about 74 km from the state capital here. A search operation was undertaken to look for more cadres, the officials said.
