Haryana’s nine govt schools are all set for 53 smart classes!

Chandigarh, Aug. 1: India is taking many creative initiatives for digitalization of education for paving way for ‘New India’. In this manner, Haryana comes up with a new plan. Karnal Smart City Limited (KSCL), it is a special vehicle which works for Smart City Project, which is undertaking a new education project.
 
 
 
Under this project, KSCL is going to start a smart education project in nine government schools in the city. Under this project, parents can monitor the performance of their wards on the click of a button. This step is being taken by the KSCL to increase the learning capacity of students and also to make learning interactive and student-friendly under the Smart City project.
 
The technical and financial bids of the project have already been opened. The authorities are claiming the project would begin in a few days.
 
Commissioner KMC-cum-CEO KSCL, Rajiv Mehta said, “We have identified nine government schools of the city under the area-based development plan. We will allow the work by the end of this week to the company as the technical and financial bids have been opened”.
 
He also added A sum of Rs 3.6 crore would incur on this project under which they would develop 53 smart classrooms and eight robotic and stem labs in these schools so that the students could learn their subjects with the help of latest technology.

The attendance of students, their participation in different activities along with their results in various competitions would also be available on this dashboard, he said.
 
Renu Bala Gupta, the Mayor, said that besides raising their confidence, the project would help in enhancing their learning skills.
