New Delhi, August 12: “My best wishes on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. I hope it furthers the spirit of peace and happiness in our society. Eid Mubarak!” Prime Minister Narendra Modi today greeted fellow citizens on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
Eid al-Adha is being celebrated by Muslim brothers throughout the country. It is the second of two Islamic holidays celebrated worldwide each year (the other being Eid al-Fitr) and considered the holier of the two.
India’s beloved cricketer and current Member of Parliament Gautam Gambhir also greeted Muslim brothers on this occasion saying, “My best wishes on the occasion of Eid al- Adha to everyone celebrating. I hope it strengthens our belief in the spirit of peace & happiness, and brings love & prosperity to everyone.”
