Ration card holders in Uttarakhand will now get pulses at a rate lower than the market rate

Dehradun, September 14: 23 lakh 32 thousand ration cardholders of the state will now get pulses at a rate lower than the market rate. Under the Mukhyamantri Dal Poshit Yojana, every ration cardholder will be provided two kg of pulses at a reduced price per month. On Thursday, in a program organized at Janata Darshan Hall at CM Housing, Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat inaugurated the scheme by distributing pulses packets to selected beneficiaries.


 

Pulses will be made available on the basis of availability from the Government of India. This month, gram dal is being given at Rs 44 per kg. Its price in the market is 65 to 70 rupees per kg. In the next months, the price of lentils may also be lower. But it will always be less than the market rate.

Inaugurating the scheme, the Chief Minister said that the state government is running several schemes in the interest of the poor. People need to be aware that wherever something is going wrong, immediately tell the government. The Chief Minister can also tell on the helpline number 1905. Action will be taken immediately. A large number of people have benefited from the Atal Ayushman Uttarakhand Yojana. The government wants to extend the benefits of the schemes to all, it needs everyone's cooperation.

 

The Chief Minister said that pulses funded scheme will be helpful in the Prime Minister's goal of healthy India. All nutrients are necessary in food. Lentils will supply protein. Cleanliness is also necessary along with health. Glad that awareness has come about cleanliness, especially among women and girls. During this, MP Mala Rajya Laxmi Shah, MLA Ganesh Joshi, Khazan Das, Vinod Chamoli, Secretary Sushil Kumar were also present.
