Pointing convergence at by-elections, BJP announces prudent candidates for 32 assembly seats across India

New Delhi, September 30: Walking a significant and a necessary step ahead in the Legislative Assembly polls scheduled by October 21, the Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday named its candidates for bypolls to 32 Assembly constituencies, spreading across several states.
 
"The Central Election Committee has decided the following names for the ensuing Bye-Elections to the Legislative Assembly Constituency of different states", the statement read.
 
 
Of the 32 Assembly seats, ten are in Uttar Pradesh, five in Kerala, four in Assam, two each in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Sikkim and one each in Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Meghalaya, Odisha, Rajasthan and Telangana.
Meanwhile the Rajasthan Congress party also announced its candidates for Mandawa and Khinwsar assembly bypolls where, Rita Chaudhary and Harendra Mirdha are slated to head the party.
 
Bye-elections will be held for 51 Assembly seats on October 21, along with the state elections in Haryana and Maharashtra. However, the list issued fails to name the candidates for Maharashtra and Haryana. "The BJP is likely to name the candidates for the remaining seats soon", it read further.
