'Parampara Series 2020' launched by Vice President Venkaiah Naidu

New Delhi, Oct 28 : Vice President Venkaiah Naidu virtually launched the virtual festival of ‘Parampara Series 2020-National Festival of Music and Dance.’ He said that music and dance can provide relief from the anxiety caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Vice President said while launching the virtual festival of ‘Parampara Series 2020-National Festival of Music and Dance’ organized by Natya Tarangini in partnership with the United Nations, that music and dance make lives more fulfilling by rejuvenating and energizing. He also added that they bring harmony into lives and nourish inner spirit by dispelling gloom and despair.
 
Vice President Naidu also appreciated Natya Tarangini for organising the ‘Parampara Series’ persistently since past 23 years, and adopting innovative efforts to make it happen for the 24th year, even in difficult times like this.
 
He also acknowledged that there could not have been a better time than now for holding this festival since the normal life has been disrupted by lockdowns, economic downturns and lack of social interaction caused by the pandemic. Therefore, the only effective medium to promote and transmit culture are the virtual platforms. Due to this cause, the inauguration was intentionally coincided with World Audio-Visual Heritage on Oct 27.
