Royal Challengers Banglore
Earning 14 points from 12 matches, they need to win one of their remaining two games to make sure of their last-four spot. Virat & Co face Sunrisers Hyderabad today and Delhi Capitals in next match. However, if they lose both fixtures, it may come down to net run rate. Better to win at least one of the matches. If they stay on 14 they can still qualify but they should have a better run-rate.

Delhi Capitals

The team which looked dominant more than qualified MI at one point, has seen three successive defeats that have made tough for them. Similar to RCB, they need to win over the top two sides – MI and RCB to make it to the playoffs. If they still are defeated, they need to pray for their net run rate.

Kings XI Punjab

In a surprise, the team which witnessed consecutive losses in the first half have buckled up to occupy the fourth spot. But, on the basis of a better run-rate than RR and KKR. However, after losing to RR, it is now dependent on other results to qualify. They face Chennai Super Kings in their final league match with MS Dhoni’s team getting the better of RCB and KKR in their last two games.

Even if they beat CSK, they will not make to the play-offs if SRH wins both games OR if the loser of the DC vs RR match finishes higher on the points table or NRR than Kings XI. However, if Sunrisers lose one of their last two games, then Kings XI will have an excellent chance of qualifying with 14 points. But first thing beat CSK.

Rajasthan Royals

After winning the last two games, they have now to defeat KKR in a must-win game with the winners staying in the campaign and the losers bowing out. For them to qualify, KXIP has to lose their final game, and if Sunrisers Hyderabad win no more than one. Then they will go through with 14 points, without net run rates coming into play. If sticking to NRR, Royals will qualify if DC or RCB lose both their matches and stay on 14. They can go ahead of them on run rate.

Kolkata Knight Riders

With lots of ups and downs, KKR needs to beat RR in their final league game to stay in the game and to do something magical in that game in order to improve NRR as it is the lowest among three teams at 12 points at the moment. Chances are low but if they beat Royals and finish on 14, and none of the other contenders get to that tally.

That means Kings XI should lose their last game to CSK while Sunrisers should win no more than one of their last two matches. In that case, Mumbai Indians, Capitals, Royal Challengers, and Knight Riders will qualify for the playoffs.

Sunrisers Hyderabad

Simple and straightforward for them. They need to beat both RCB and Mumbai Indians in their last two games. If they do so, then the NRR shouldn’t be a problem. However, if they lose either of the two matches, they will be out.
