New Delhi, October 05: Days after the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) panel ruled out murder theories in actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death case, a major controversy has emerged in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case after a shocking U-turn has come to light. A private media house exposed AIIMS forensic expert Dr. Sudhir Gupta’s and leaked an audiotape of Dr. Gupta in which he has claimed that actor Sushant Singh Rajput (SSR) was 'murdered'.

It has been reported that Dr. Sudhir Gupta, who led the team of forensic experts from AIIMS, had earlier claimed the 34-year-old movie star was murdered. In the audiotape shared by the news channel, Dr. Gupta can be heard saying that Sushant was murdered and had not died by suicide. He said Sushant Singh Rajput's death was 200% murder and that he died due to strangulation. "According to reports, he had made this statement after looking at the pictures of Sushant’s mortal remains.

He had also unmasked the role and lapses of investigation done by Mumbai Police. He had said that contrary to the usual police investigation, Mumbai Police did not keep the crime scene ‘intact’. Expressing ‘surprise’ over the contamination of the crime scene, he had insinuated that it was the ‘destruction of evidence’. Dr. Sudhir also raised questions over the conduct of the Mumbai police. “The police is not the final investigator. They have to keep all the evidence until the case is closed. They need to submit all evidence on approval from the Judiciary”, he was heard as saying.

This has come two days after the panel of AIIMS forensic experts led by Dr. Gulati has ruled out murder claims and called it a case of hanging and death by suicide, rejecting the claims of poisoning and strangling made by the actor's family and their lawyer. “There were no injuries on the body other than of hanging. There were no marks of struggle or scuffle on the body and clothes of the deceased,” Dr. Gupta said in board’s findings.

After the news controversy, Sushant's family has now demanded a fresh forensic investigation by a new panel. Sushant Singh Rajput's sister Shweta Singh Kirti has reacted to this development and raised a question. She wrote on social media: "This kind of U-Turn must be explained! WHY?? #SushantConspiracyExposed #SushantAIIMSTape".

SSR's family lawyer Vikas Singh also reacted to the reports of leaked tape and demanded that a fresh forensic team be formed. "Highly perturbed with AIIMS report. Going to request CBI Director to constitute a fresh Forensic team. How could the AIIMS team give a conclusive report in the absence of the body, that too on such shoddy post mortem done by Cooper hospital wherein time of death also not mentioned," he wrote in a Twitter post.

Moreover citing his leaked audio, Dr. Gupta said that while initially, everyone had doubts, there should be no questions about the final report. "We investigated all doubts and then came with this opinion. Now, there should be no doubts. It was a seven-member team of doctors who came to this conclusion that SSR died by suicide," he said.
