Fostering collaborations, enriching conversations, India hosts Networking Reception at Berlin Int'l Film Fest

New Delhi, February 21: The most buzzed Berlin Int'l Film Fest gets underway in Berlin, gaining a lot of popularity for the Indian Cinema abide. Aligning towards, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting united with the Confederation of Indian Industry on Friday hosted India Networking Reception. While the festival was attended by prominent film festival heads, international film associations, film agencies, and renowned production houses, they were more interested in fostering collaborations with India.

In this event of India Networking Reception, the Indian Delegation and other dignitaries published the 'Film in India' booklet. The discussion was focused on forging bonds for the co-production of films and developing partnerships for the 51st edition of IFFI to be held later this year. Meanwhile, the members were also informed about policy initiatives of the Government to ease them filming in India through certain initiatives.
 
The members at the networking evening also showed their desire for possible collaborations with India & IFFI 2020. This signifies the attractive growth opportunities for the Indian Media and Indian Entertainment Industry. The event was attended by personalities like Bobby Bedi, owner, and managing director, Kaleidoscope Entertainment; Stephan Ottenbruch, founder, Indogerman films; Jana Wolf, head marketing and advertising, Berlin Int'l Film Fest and Carlota Guerrero Bernaus, Catalunya Film Commission.
Earlier the day EAM Dr S Jaishankar in Berlin launched the Indian Pavillion where three feature films and one documentary from India have been selected for the said film fest. "If film-makers from across the world especially from Germany could come to India for their films, we have established a single window for film shooting. We intend to offer incentives for shooting in India", he noted at the launch of Indian Pavillion on Thursday.
 
The three Indian feature films that have been selected for the Berlin Int'l Film Fest are Pushpendra Singh's 'Laila Aur Satt Geet', Prateek Vats' 'Eeb Allay Ooo!, Akhsay Indikar's 'Sthalpuran' as well as one short documentary film, Ekta Mittal's 'Gumnaam Din'.
