This probably is after Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur felt the absence of experienced players like Mithali Raj and Jhulan Goswami today and noted thier 'no show' to be a drastic change in the team. "We already miss the experience they share with us, but these young girls have shown their talent and ability. In the last two years. I've gone from being the youngest one to one of the oldest in the team", she said.

Kaur who became a captain of the T20 team in 2018, is leading the team and has led the team till the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 2018. The Punjabi girl came in the limelight in World Cup 2017 (ODI) when she had played consistently in the tournament especially her knock against Australia which further led the team to the finals. The 30-year-old cricketer wants to script history by winning the trophy in this tournament too.
Another gem in the team is the young player, Smriti Mandhana who has shown signs that of a champion at very young age. She was part of the Maharashtra Under -15 team when she was nine and later became part of the under-19 team at 11. All these activities have helped her not only to book a place in the women’s cricket team but to emerge as a top dog. She is already a top-scorer cricketer in the team and hopefully will play her part, her champion's way in this event also.

Other players who have marked their footprints in the Indian team like Poonam Yadav and Shikha Pandey have also taken the team ahead in several events. Further, we cannot forget those players who have just stepped into the field newly, but are exceptionally talented. For instance, Jemimah Rodrigues who is known as an all-rounder had made her debut in 2018. She seems happy to showcase her cricket knack in ICC Women's T20 World Cup. Also Richa Ghosh, a 16-year-old is a new girl on the block who had played her first ever significant match against Australia in January this year.

Surprisingly, the average of this team is just 22.8. However, as the skipper said, the team has shown a lot of intent and abilities to thrash opponents with their aggression and passion. Considering all these things, we have to stay positive and support the team as we can fore see it to go down as warriors and write history.
