Jodhpur, Apr 16: In view of the growing number of coronavirus positive cases in inner areas of the city, the Marwar Haj Welfare Society has appealed to the administration to open isolation center at the haj house in the city.
In an appeal to the district collector and chief medical and health officer General Secretary of Marwar Haj Welfare Society Abdul Jabbar urged them to open isolation centers at the haj house to accommodate the growing number of COVID-19 patients.
The Haj society members toured Jaitaran and Sojat city areas after getting permission from the Chief Minister Ashok Gahlot. They talked to the people there and urged them to help those needy, poor and destitute people and provide them food and other material.
Former bureaucrat and National Convener of Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM) Intellectual Cell Farook Ahmed Khan welcomed this decision of the Haj Society.
The coronavirus has infected over 23 lakh people with a death toll of nearly two lakh. The USA has been the worst-hit country reporting over 30,000 deaths followed by Italy, Spain, China, and the UK.
Against this global background, India has reported only 400 deaths and nearly 12000 infected persons. Even India is exporting lifesaving medicines to other countries. This is possible because of the inspiring leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Khan said.
Criticizing those Muslims who attacked the doctors and other health personnel, Khan questioned how they can be called true Muslims? Coronavirus is not the enemy of only Hindus or Muslims. The virus does not see religion or caste in its attack. It is the enemy of the entire humanity.
