9-min challenge! Realize unity and collective resolve of people, says PM

New Delhi, Apr 3: Appealing to the people to experience the unity and collective strength of 130 crore Indians, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today asked people to spare nine minutes on April 5 to reiterate their resolve to fight the Coronavirus by lightening their surroundings.

Interacting with people through a video message at 9 am today for which the entire country was eagerly waiting, Prime Minister asked people to turn off all the lights at 9 pm on Sunday, April 5, and stand in their balconies, verandahs, with candles, ‘diyas’, or mobile flashlight to spread the message of unity and strength among the people of the country in this fight against the Coronavirus.

Urging the citizens to maintain social distancing Modi said “I want your nine minutes on Sunday, April 5, at 9 pm. Turn off all the lights for 9 minutes and light candles, diyas or mobile flashlight with one avowed objective to fill the atmosphere with that serene light and defeat the Coronavirus by invoking out latent strength and collective resolve,” PM Modi said throwing a 9-minute challenge to the people.

Giving a very positive message to the people to ward off the frustration, despair, and negativity, and raising their spiritual level Prime Minister Modi urged them to cultivate positivity, optimism, and unity by experiencing the inherent strength and resolve of the society as a manifestation of Almighty.

 

He said that people are the manifestation of Almighty and we must strive to feel that divine power within us as this will put new renewed energy in our spine to stand united in this war against the virus.

“You are not alone in this fight against COVID-19”, the Prime Minister said to every Indian in his message full of positivity. Thanking them for overwhelmingly participating in the March 22 thanksgiving to all those serving the society in this crisis by beating thalis, clapping, etc., Modi however, urged them not to venture outside on Sunday night and maintain the social distancing at all costs.

We have to work to assure those poor and working-class who had to suffer a lot in this moment of crisis by generating hope, aspirations and new light to rescue them from the atmosphere of despair and darkness. He said the world has recognized our positive efforts have adopted in this war against the virus, he said adding that they are now following our footsteps to defeat COVID-19.

This will make you feel, experience and realize the divine strength of the 130 crore Indians. Let us awaken that latent strength and take our resolve to a new height, he said. This will show the world that we are united in this war against the virus and help us realize the collective strength of our own people, Modi said.
