Tabligh Jamat insulted Islam and Insaniyat: MRM

MRM National Convener Mohd Afzal in a press release said that when the entire country was responding to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call on Sunday night by lighting lamps with a firm resolve to fight the war against the virus, the Tabligh Jamat members were spreading the deadly infection by totally ignoring the government instructions to follow social distancing.

 

He said that during the last month conference of Tabligh Jamat in Delhi’s Nizamuddin Markaz, people from various states of India and abroad participated in thousands. Some of them were found to be infected with COVID-19. The Amir (Chief) of the Markaz was expected to report this to the authorities and if they had sought help from the Delhi Government, the AAP government should have extended help to evacuate those people trapped there.

However, when these people went back to their respective places they carried this Coronavirus with them infecting more people. According to the government estimate, there has been a massive increase in the number of Coronavirus infected cases after this program and nearly 30 percent plus people were infected by them.

Who should be held responsible for this?

When people of all religions have canceled their programs, even the largest organization like the RSS also has canceled its annual meeting of the representatives scheduled in Bengaluru in March, why the Tabligh Jamat failed to cancel its meeting in the interest of the nation?

The Amir of the Markaz Maulana Saad should have vacated the Markaz much earlier, but he did not and committed a prima facie crime. By doing so he acted against the Islamic tenets, Afzal said adding that the residents of the area and political parties supporting these Tabligh Jamat also have a responsibility to inform the authorities which they did not.

He alleged that these people also misbehaved with the doctors and nurses sent to provide treatment to them. By indulging in such filthy actions, they defamed Islam which is known as a religion of peace, brotherhood, and security. They represented the path of the ‘satan’ and that of ‘Khuda’, he said.

Moreover, in doing so, they have murdered the constitution of the country. The MRM condemns their anti-Islam and anti-humanity actions and attitude and demanded strict action against the culprits.

In view of the coming occasion of ‘Shabe Barat,’ the MRM urged the Muslim community to remain in their houses and perform dua and prayers for their ancestors by strictly adhering to the government directive of social distancing. The MRM also appealed to them to keep the ‘Kabrastans’ locked and do not venture outside to save them from the Coronavirus infection.

The MRM also urged the Muslims to offer ‘dua’ and prayers for the peace of those martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the motherland. Muslims should leave their imprint as a ‘nek’ (honest), ‘sachcha’ (true) and a good human being, MRM National Convener said.

He appealed to the people to stand united in this fight against the Coronavirus and spread the message of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat’ in the entire world by overcoming this global pandemic.
