In the recent video, Sonu Nigam said, "Bhushan Kumar, I have to mention your name. And you deserve being addressed without respect. You have messed with the wrong person."

Sonu revealed that Bhushan used to beg in front him for signing music albums. "Do you remember the time when you would come to my home requesting me, 'brother record an album for me. Brother, record Deewana for me. Brother, introduce me to Smita Thackeray and Bal Thackeray," he added

In the video, Sonu Nigam made explosive allegations that Bhushan sought his help to save himself from gangster Abu Salem. “Remember Marina Kunwar? And the allegations she made? Why did she say this and why did she back out? Media knows. I have her video. If you mess with me, I will upload her video on my YouTube channel. Don’t mess with me,” he said.

Marina is a model and an actor, who has appeared in episodes such as CID, Aahat, and has also been a part of few modeling projects. In 2018, the actress Marina came out publicly during an interview with the Known News channel, where she accused Bhushan Kumar and Sajid Khan of harassing her. At that time it was alleged that the media did not cover the case and Marina’s story was thrown under the carpet.

After Sonu Nigam’s explosive video on exposing ‘mafia’ in the music industry, singer Monali Thakur and Singer Adnan Sami have backed the veteran singer. Monali Thakur revealed that she does not like the atmosphere of the industry and has now stopped looking for chances to sing for Bollywood films.

"I was thankful to him because he is a senior and he has been in the industry for so long. He is a very big name and an iconic musician. He is over all these things… But it is so true that there is a lot of ‘mafia girl’ in the music industry," Monal said. She has 'alienated herself from the industry, as artists do not get their dues paid.

Citing an example, Monali Thakur explained that if a singer signs up with a label then they will have to give away 80 percent or 50 percent of their income and have their royalty rights snatched away. Moreover, the singer reveals that if someone releases a single (album), then its rights are also been taken away.

Singer Adan Swaminew talents are being exploited and their creativity is being controlled. He also lashed out at the movie & music calling them 'Mafia', who have arrogantly entitled themselves as the 'self-professed & self-appointed gods'.

Meanwhile, hours after Sonu posted a video Bhushan’s wife Divya Khosla Kumar has claimed that Sonu is peddling ‘lies and deceit’ and that it is an attempt to gain publicity. She also called him ungrateful and said that T-Series gave him a break in the music industry and helped him grow.

In her next post, Divya accused Sonu of doing publicity and used the lines from his song ‘Acha Sila Diya Tune Mere Pyaar Ka’ in the statement. Earlier Sonu also exposes the music mafia during his conversation with The Tashkent files director Vivek Agnihotri.

Earlier after Sushant Singh Rajput's death, Sonu had alleged that the music industry is run like the mafia but didn’t take a particular name. He also opened up about the issues faced by people working in the music industry and how this could result in another death. In his 7-minute video on YouTube, he talked about roadblocks in the career of the newcomers created by big music labels and in turn urged them to be kind.
Sonu Nigam is currently quarantining in Dubai.
