Celebrate Ram Mandir foundation day by lighting lamps: VHP

New Delhi, July 25: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has appealed to the sadhus and sant-mahatmas and common people to celebrate the Ram Mandir foundation laying ceremony at Ayodhya at their respective places, ashrams, temples, and homes by performing puja, telecasting the live feed of the program at Ayodhya and by lighting lamps.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be performing the foundation laying of the magnificent temple of Sri Ram at his birthplace at Ayodhya on August 5 preparations for which are being done on a full swing. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has paid a visit to Ayodhya today to oversee the preparations for the foundation laying ceremony.

Saints, trustees of the Sri Ram Janmasthan Teerthkshetra Trust, scholars, and other dignitaries will be participating in the program while this historic event will be live telecast for millions to watch from their respective places all over the world.

VHP Secretary-General Milind Parande said that with the coalescence of water from holy rivers and sacred earth from the pilgrimage centers of the country in this ceremony, this temple of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi will be an enduring and immortal beaming Centre of social harmony, national unity, and integration and awakening of the feeling of Hindutva.

On this auspicious occasion of the fulfilment of the aspirations of the devotees of Sri Rama after hundreds of years of relentless rigor of Hindu society, Parande appealed to the devotees of Sri Ram to offer worship at their respective places, ashrams, houses, etc. at 10.30 am on August 5, 2020, by arranging kirtan, aarti, and distribution of prasad·

The VHP leader also called upon the people to show the live telecast of the program in their locality using large tv screens so that the maximum number of people can witness the historic event.

He also appealed to people to decorate their houses, neighborhoods, villages, markets, monasteries, gurudwaras, ashrams, etc. as much as possible and light limps in the evening to mark the celebration.

As participating in the ceremony at Ayodhya is not possible in the present circumstances due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Parande has appealed to the people to observe this festival with great pomp and show in their houses.

He also appealed to the masses to follow the COVID-19 guidelines issued by the government and local administration while celebrating the foundation laying of Sri Ramjanmabhumi Mandir on Wednesday, August 5.
