Construction of Sri Ram Mandir begins at Ayodhya

Ayodhya, Aug 12: The construction work for erecting a grand and magnificent Sri Ram Mandir at the birthplace of Sri Ram has begun after the bhumupujan performed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in presence of RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohanrao Bhagwat at Sri Ram Janmasthan at Ayodhya on August 5, 2020.


Giving information about the commencement of the construction work, Sri Ram Janmasthan Teerthkshetra Trust appealed to the devotees to donate for the construction work. The Trust has shared the bank account and other details on Wednesday for the devotees willing to donate.

General Secretary of the Trust Champat Rai released a video on Wednesday informing the devotees that the work of the temple has commenced and the temple would be completed with the help and assistance from cores of Ram Devotees.

Champat Rai appealed to the devotees to donate as much as they can for the construction of the temple at the birthplace of Sri Ram.


The Trust was founded by the Centre as per directions of the Supreme Court to accomplish the task of construction of the temple. The Trust had invited the Prime Minister for bhumipujan of the proposed temple and accordingly, Narendra Modi accepted the invitation and performed the bhumipujan on August 5, 2020, at Ayodhya.

Besides the Prime Minister, the bhumipujan ceremony was attended by RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohanrao Bhagwat, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Governor Anandiben Patel, and selected gathering of sants and mahants and social leaders.

Describing the event as ‘historic’, Prime Minister Modi had said that this temple would be a new ideal of social equality and brotherhood.
