Mumbai, Aug 12: Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt who was admitted to Lilavati Hospital after complaining of breathlessness on August 8, has been diagnosed with lung cancer and will be flying to the United States for the treatment.
Dutt has been tested negative for COVID-19. When he was recently hospitalised, he was diagnosed with the ailment. He was discharged from the hospital after two days. The news has been announced by the film critic Komal Nahta. He tweeted, "Sanjay Dutt diagnosed with lung cancer. Let’s pray for his speedy recovery."
According to the sources the close friend reveals, “Baba is devastated. He has little children. Fortunately, they are in Dubai right now with their mother. But breaking this awful news to them would be an ordeal.”
Dutt had said that he has taken a short break from work for medical treatment. "Hi friends, I am taking a short break from work for some medical treatment. My family and friends are with me and I urge my well-wishers not to worry or unnecessarily speculate. With your love and good wishes, I will be back soon!" Sanjay Dutt wrote.
Sanjay Dutt celebrated his 61st birthday on July 29 this year. He will be next seen film including 'Torbaaz', 'KGF: Chapter 2', 'Sadak 2', 'Bhuj: The Pride Of India' and 'Shamshera'.
