Pune, August 07: Eight days to go and India awaits to celebrate the most important day in the national history, and that being the Independence Day! The country this year sets to celebrate the 74th year of Independence from the British rule. After 200 years of British rule, India officially gained its independence in 1947. This was the day when Pandit Nehru, the first prime minister of independent India, hoisted the Indian national flag above the Lahori Gate of the Red Fort in Delhi and addressed the nation, marking the start of a tradition that continues even today.

In the weeks leading up to 15 August, landmarks and government buildings are lit up in the country’s national colours. Shops, malls and houses are decorated in similar colours, and shopkeepers can be found selling flags, dupattas (lengths of fabric) and kites for the occasion. Documentaries, patriotic films and programmes related to India’s freedom are aired on TV channels to get people into the spirit of Independence Day. One such music video 'Hindustan Ki Kahani' premiered by 'Paradigm of Life' and 'S2M Studio' is making round on social media.

Sung by Chintan Parekh and Keyur Bhagat, the song symbolises the idea of 'Unity in Diversity' right from the varied states to the culturally different yet united people and covers the magnificent landscapes. Team Symphony having composed this melody, noted the lyrical credits to Nitesh Pathak. "Freedom was earned by the blood that was sacrificed by our Freedom Fighters for our better future", the persons in credit noted.
"This song iss made not just for August 15 but as a reminder that every day is a good day to remember and thank our soldiers, farmers, scientists, leaders….. who toil very hard to ensure we live in peace! It's time to recall and remember their efforts and go down the lane to discover the land of ancient vedic treasure, valour of our great leaders and fearless warriors", he added.

The coming 74th Independence Day celebration will be marked by musical performances by the bands from the Army, Navy and Indian Air Force. For the first time, the military bands wil display their performance across the country, during the fortnight. Meanwhile on August 7, Military Bands are scheduled to perform in Srinagar and Kolkata.
