Chennai, September 16: As a part of ‘Seva Saptah’ which is organized by the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) to mark the 70th birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP Youth workers in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday offered a 70-kg laddoo to Lord Shiva at Sivan Kamatchi Amman Temple. After offering the laddoo in the temple it has distributed it among the people in the Coimbatore district.
BJP party chief JP Nadda launched the ‘Seva Saptah’ at Chhaprauli village in Uttar Pradesh's Gautam Buddh Nagar district. Speaking on the occasion, Nadda said, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi's life has been dedicated to the service of people and the country. Since PM Modi is turning 70, we have decided to work at 70 spots in every district for cleanliness and distribution of fruits...We also have a target of providing at least 70 divyang (disabled) people with whatever equipment they require in each district. There will also be 70 virtual rallies."
The theme of the programs will be ‘seventy’ as the Prime Minister turns 70 this year. The campaign will continue till 20th September. Party leaders will take various social initiatives across the country to mark the week. All state unit chiefs have been sent circulars with a list of programs to be carried out during ‘Seva Saptah’.
Yesterday, BJP chief JP Nadda inaugurated an exhibition inspired by PM Modi's life on Tuesday, as part of the Seva Saptah. Mr. Nadda said, the PM has dedicated his life to serving society, and his ideas have been an inspiration for the party.
Apart from that Union Ministers G Kishan Reddy and Nityanand Rai distributed clothes and essentials to sanitation workers of NDMC today.
