Leh, January 26: Under harsh conditions and in intensely cold weather, Indian's Himveer, Indo-Tibetan Border Police jawans celebrates 72nd Republic Day with the enthusiasm. In sub zero temperatures ITBP jawans marched with the national flag on a frozen water body in Ladakh on 72nd Republic Day.

In the icy upper reaches of Ladakh, at a height of 14,000 feet where temperature stood at minus 25 degrees Celsius, ITBP personnel celebrate R-Day at the banks of Pangong Tso lake.
 
In the video's ITBP jawans can be seen celebrating Republic Day 2021 and chanting 'Vande Mataram', 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai', and 'Jai Hindi' slogans at a high-altitude Border Outpost in Ladakh.
 
 
 
This year, the central government has awarded 17 ITBP personnel police service medals of various categories. While two officers have been decorated with the police medal for gallantry, three with the President's police medal for distinguished service, and 12 with police medals for meritorious service.
