Centre increases subsidy on fertilizers to Rs. 28,000 crores to benefit farmers; Know how-

New Delhi, October 19: Union Minister for Chemical and Fertiliser Mansukh Mandaviya has announced that the central government has increased the subsidy on fertilizers in order to benefit farmers. This is to enable them to purchase fertilizers at the same rate despite the hike in their prices in the international market.

Mansukh Mandaviya said, “Government of India decided to provide fertiliser at the same rate to farmers despite an increase in fertiliser prices in the international market and Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji has increased subsidy on urea, diammonium phosphate (DAP), single superphosphate (SSP), nitrogen phosphorus potassium (NPK) fertilisers for the benefit of the farmers.”
 
 
He added saying, “The subsidy on DAP has been increased from Rs 1,200 to Rs 1,650; on Urea from Rs 1,500 to Rs. 2,000; on NPK fertiliser from Rs. 900 to Rs. 1,015 and on SSB from Rs. 315 to Rs. 375.”

Mandaviya also further stated that, in the Rabi season, PM Modi has given Rs. 28000 crore subsidy on fertilisers for the farmers so that no amount of undue burden is on the farmers, and they can grow their crops without facing any difficulties.
