NIA's crackdown against terror, arrests eight operatives of terror outfits in J&K

Srinagar, October 23: Tightening the noose around the Pak-sponsored terrorism, the National Investigation Agency (NIA), conducted searches across six districts of Jammu and Kashmir and arrested eight operatives of various proscribed terror organisations.

It is belive to NIA's major crackdown against Terrorism, the agency so far has arrested 21 people for conspiring to spread terrorism and carry out terror activities in the Union Territory.
 
The NIA conducted raids at 10 locations in various parts of Jammu and Kashmir such as Srinagar, Kulgam, Shopian, Pulwama, Anantnag, and Baramulla. According to the statement, they were identified as Adil Ahmad War, Manan Gulzar Dar, Hilal Ahmed Dar, Sobhia, Rouf Bhatt, Shaqib Bashir, Zamin Adil, and Haris Nisar Langoo. The NIA said electronic devices and “incriminating Jihadi documents, posters”, etc were seized from them.
 
 

The NIA official further said that the arrests pertain to logistical and material support to terror outfits. The agency report further said that the individuals were involved in a conspiracy to carry out terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir and other major cities across the country. "Further investigation in the case continues," the NIA further said.

The NIA had registered the case on October 10 and initiated the investigation. Till now 13 accused persons have been arrested in this case by the NIA.
