Pune, December 24: A 37-YO wrestler was shot dead in Shel Pimpalgaon in Khed taluka on Thursday night. The deceased person has been identified as Nagesh Subhash Karale, and was a resident of Shel Pimpalgaon.
According to the Chakan police station under the Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate, this incident took place near Milind Beer Shop in Shel Pimpalgaon around 9.05 pm, on Thursday. The incident was captured on a CCTV camera. The footage shows that as soon as Karale sits in his 4-wheeler, the assailants reached there in a car. The assailants, one by one, fired several rounds from all directions.
Karale was seriously injured in this incident. He was then rushed to a private hospital in Chakan, where doctors declared him dead. The senior police officials rushed to the spot. The Pimpri Chinchwad police have formed 4 teams to trace these attackers. A police official said, “Prima facie murder was fallout of an old dispute. We are working on some clues.”

Karale was a wrestler, and ran a wrestling academy in Khed taluka.
