Mumbai, March 15: In the major development, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation BMC in Mumbai booked Bollywood actress Gauhar Khan for flouting the COVID-19 norms in the state. According to the BMC, the actress stepped out to shoot even after being tested positive for COVID-19.
The civic body in a release said despite being infected by the coronavirus, the actor moved out in public places and took part in shootings.
Taking the social media site, BMC said, "No Compromise On City’s Safety! The rules apply to all alike and we urge citizens to follow all guidelines and help the city beat the virus." The civic body has also shared a copy of the complaint. However, they have blurred the name and other part information.
A police complaint has been lodged by the officials of the health department of the ‘K West’ division of the BMC. The police have registered a case under sections 188, 269, and 270 of the Indian Penal Code and sections 2 and 3 of the Communicable Diseases Control Act.

According to reports, when civic staff went to her residence to put home quarantine stamps, she refused to open the door.
