Bangaluru, Mar 18: The Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha (ABPS) of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) will be holding its two-day meeting at Bangaluru on March 19 and 20 keeping in view the corona pandemic protocol.

Giving information about this meeting to reporters, RSS Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh Arun Kumar said that the Bangaluru meeting will focus on networking of good people and organizations engaged in the service of the nation in various walks of life.

He said that many such people and volunteers from all walks of life who served the society in their own way, have come into the contact of the Sangh. The ABPS will focus on networking with such people and engage them in a constructive way. The ABPS will also deliberate on cultural and social issues, he said.

The ABPS of 2020 scheduled to be held at Bangaluru was cancelled at the last minute due to Covid-19 pandemic outbreak countrywide. This year too, only limited number of the ‘Pratinidhis’ will be attending the ABPS, he said. Normally 1500 ‘pratinidhis’ from all over the country attend the ABPS but this time the number is restricted to 450 only.

RSS has 11 zones called Kshetras which are further organized as 44 working units called Prants. Many delegates from these Kshetras and Pranths will attend the ABPS online. Akhil Bharatiya Karyakari Mandal meeting will begin on 17th March and conclude on the 18th. This meeting will decide the agenda of the ABPS and resolutions to be presented and passed.

The ABPS will elect a new Sarkaryawah (Secretary General) who is the Executive head of the organization this year.

Arun Kumar said that the ABPS will review the work done in the last 3 years and deliberate on the work to be done in the next 3 years. It will also discuss on the ways to expand the Sangh work in the country, Arun Kumar informed.

Speaking on the work during the pandemic, he said that people and volunteers from all walks of life who served the society in their own way, came into the contact of Sangh. The ABPS will focus on networking with such people and engage them in a constructive way. ABPS will also deliberate on cultural and social issues.

Answering a question on reservation, Arun Kumar said that the stand of RSS has been published on www.rss.org and even Sarsanghchalak has specified on the same during his public interactions in the past.
