Dispur, April 02: Amidst the Assam State Elections, BJP Assam and the Legal Rights Observatory on April 1 sent a reminder to the Chief Electoral Officer, Assam (CEO) and Election Commission of India (ECI) to initiate investigations against Congress candidate for 84-Batadrawa LAC Sibamoni Bora for her illegal act of inducting illegal Bangladeshis in voters list when she was a BDO in gross dereliction of duty endangering the nation’s security and completely undermining India’s free and fair democratic elections.

Earlier on March 22, the LRO had sought prosecution of Bora after she was heard publicly admitting of enrolling ineligible persons in the voter lists of 84-Batadrawa LAC using her official capacity as Block Development Officer without verifying and examining the documents despite knowing that these persons are not eligible to be enrolled as voters. The illegality came to light in a video uploaded by her in her facebook account.

Shibamoni Bora is the Congress candidate from Batadrava constituency in Nagaon district. Bora appealed at election rallies in Batadrava, apparently in Muslim majority areas for votes on the basis of her service to the community as a government officer even before she joined politics, by being lenient with inclusions of people in voters list without due verifications.

Assam has been overwhelmed with illegal Bangladeshi infiltrators changing the demography, indigenous tradition and culture of Assam is an acknowledged fact even by the apex court of India. Illegal Bangladeshi Muslims have illegally obtained government issued identity documents like the Aadhaar cards, Voter ID cards, Ration cards etc claiming they are Indian citizens with the aid of an organised Islamist mafia including Islamist political heavy weights like the AIDUF’s Chief, Baruddin Ajmal and Congress through their clout in the bureaucracy and administrative system.

The LRO in its recent tweet informed that it has sent a reminder to the Chief Electoral Office and Election Commission of India to expedite action against Bora for misusing her power as a BDO. "LRO and BJP had lost two separate complaints", it added. It's high time now that that all central agencies including the Election Commission of India in light of the above incident take the issue of perusing the inclusion of illegal non-Indian citizens in the voters list making a mockery of electoral democracy and also posing grave security threats to the nation.
