Speakers urge people to stay united to win war against corona

New Delhi, June 13: People should be aware of rumormongers and stay away from the misleading propaganda unleashed by the vested interests against the corona vaccine. This was the message that emanated today from the speakers representing different religions.

Participating in the second day of the three-day lecture series on “Corona: Bharatiya Samaj aur Samadhan” Deewan Sayyad Zainul Abedin, Sajjada Nashin of Ajmer Durgah emphasized on taking the corona vaccine to stay safe from the covid-19 attack.

He congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for deftly handling the corona pandemic situation as compared to other nations and arresting fatalities. He appealed to the people to be aware of rumormongers and the misleading propaganda unleashed by them to create confusion in the society. He appealed to the people to organize vaccination camps and encourage people to voluntarily take vaccines to stay safe from corona pandemic.

Criticizing those who are relating religion with such rumors, he appealed to the people not to fall prey to their misleading propaganda against the vaccine. It has not relation whatsoever with religion, he said.

We can win this war against the virus by giving a united fight; he said appealing to the people to stay united and urged the religious leaders to guide their followers on the right path. He assured that the Muslims will play their role in this fight against corona virus and work hard to remove misgivings from the minds of the people.

Congratulating the organizers of the program for their initiative to connect with people of all religions, Jain Muni Sri Samarpan Sagar ji Maharaj said that this was not the first time our country is facing such a pandemic. Earlier, we had fought and defeated many such pandemics.

He congratulated the government for the best management of corona. This effort of the government succeeded in reducing the number of deaths due to corona, he said extending best compliments to the central and state governments and corona warriors.

Mentioning the service activities undertaken by the people of various religions, he said that this attitude of sewa is ingrained in our character through the philosophy of our respective religions. We are all one and the differences that are visible outwardly are due to our not understanding the history in its right perspective. With this united strength we can win this war against the corona pandemic, he said exuding confidence.

We are all believers in Dharma and if we listen to the teachings of our religious ‘gurus’, we can give a better fight with the corona pandemic and defeat it, he emphasized and urged the religious gurus to preach positivity to their followers.

He also appealed to the government to streamline the healthcare system and set up hospitals and schools for the benefit of common people. Healthy body is the best instrument to achieve success. Therefore, we must concentrate on maintaining healthy body and healthy society. We can bring about the desired transformation in the society by changing our own life and make Bharat a ‘Vishwguru’, the Jain Acharya said.

Corona is invisible enemy of the human kind, said Sardar Manjit Singh Rai, former Vice-Chairman of the Minority Commission. Drawing a parallel between the 1971 war, he said as we won that war with our unity and solidarity, similarly we can win this battle against the virus by giving a united fight.

Extending gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said that he has taken initiative to make vaccine available in our country. It is our duty to stand united in this hour of crisis and stop spreading rumors and confusion on the vaccine.

Emphasizing on good character he said we should not believe in misleading and confusing propaganda of the enemies of our country. Some people did indulge in such acts within the country; he pointed and said that they tried to mislead people about the efficacy of the vaccine. Lakhs of doses of the vaccine were destroyed. We have to give a winning fight against this pandemic which is at present our enemy number one. Believing in our scriptures and their teachings we have to face this invisible enemy and defeat it. Therefore, we must religiously follow the corona protocols laid down by the government.

He appealed to the people to read the scriptures and try to imbibe them in our life and dedicate ourselves to the service of our country. Appealing all to take the vaccine to stay safe from corona, he said that we must cooperate with the government and the organizations that are working for the welfare of the society in this corona pandemic crisis.
