Kerala police arrests occult practitioner Syed Hassan Koya for sexually assaulting a housewife during ‘spiritual’ treatment

In a yet another horrifying incident, the Kerala Police have registered a case against a person for sexually harassing a housewife during traditional spiritual treatment at Chalissery. The case has been filed against Syed Hassan Koya (35) of Odampully house, a native of Karukaputhur.
On June 28, a housewife was sexually assaulted when she went to the house of the accused in Chalissery Karukaputhur to solve a family problem. There is a special room in the house of the accused for spiritual treatment. The incident took place in this room. The woman, who escaped from the room, later lodged a complaint with the Chalissery police.
The police raided the residence of occult practitioner Koya and arrested him for sexually assaulting the housewife. The police have recovered an ID card from the accused’s house, which claimed that Syed Koya was the President of the expatriate wing of an organisation called the International Commission of Human Rights. A case has been registered against Koya in the Chalissery police station.
